WHAT IT DOES
The Special Order feature contains all the components necessary to manage customer orders from start to finish. Initial intake is completed at point-of-sale. After gathering all the necessary information, the item is then automatically queued for placement on a Purchase Order. When the item comes in, it automatically fulfills the order, at which time it can be picked up by the customer. And you can utilize The Edge’s Notification system to automatically inform the customer via text or email that their order is ready. Because these items are designated special order, they will not skew your inventory performance reports.
HOW IT WORKS
Complete initial intake at POS. If the style has been in inventory before, The Edge will offer to automatically fill in the necessary details, otherwise they can be entered. You can also specify a deposit and delivery date.
Generate the Purchase Order and send it to your vendor. When the item comes in, The Edge will automatically offer to use it to fulfill your outstanding special order.
The customer can make payments at any point along the way, and can pick up the item once it is received into inventory and the order is fulfilled.
