CLIENTELE EXPORT
WHAT IT IS

A feature that helps you export client information within The Edge.

WHAT IT DOES

Allows you to export customer records to a CSV file, as well as the occasion dates which are on file for them.

HOW IT WORKS

To export data:
  1. Click Clientele → Export. There are two export options:
    • For Mailing: Only includes customers that meet your criteria AND have a Preferred Mailing Address set. The export includes name, address, and email.
    • For Other: Includes all customers that meet your criteria. The export includes additional fields such as occasions (birthday, anniversary), spouse, acquisition, and more.
  2. The Customer Export window will appear.
  3. Click the Customer Criteria drop-down to utilize the Customer Find filter to enter criteria for customers to include. If you do not specify any criteria, all customers will be included. TAKE NOTE: The Results tab of the Customer Find filter can be used to target individuals, couples, etc.
  4. Click the Export to File Name drop-down to select an export location and name your export file.
  5. If you wish to preview the export before it occurs, check Edit Results Before Generating Output. This will give you a preview list where you can check/uncheck specific customers.
  6. Click OK to complete the export.
To use Export for exporting customer details including occasion dates:
  1. Navigate to Clientele → Export → For Other.
  2. Click the Customer Criteria drop-down field to open the Customer Filter window.
    • Use the Customer Filter field to enter any specific criteria, such as amount spent or occasion date ranges to narrow down your results for a list of the specific customers you need.
  3. Then use the Export to File Name field to name and choose the location where you want to save your file.
  4. Click OK, you will see a preview of all customers included in the export.
  5. Select all customers which you want to include and click OK to export.
